Welcome to the Auctions for the Eskies! Giving Life a Second Chance   This 'quick' unplanned auction is for a desperate situation that was posted previously to the Eskie list. Lorrie Schilling has donated her recent raffle winnings to help Terry. Others have donated money. This 1 item auction will bring in additional money to help pay the vet bills and, God willing, save some of her dogs lives. Please read and find out how you can help. Terry Thistlewaite of Heart Bandits has been losing dogs because an Eskie was brought into her house with a mutated form of distemper. It was passed onto her other dogs. She's asking for financial help as it has depleted her monies, and now the vets won't take anymore dogs without payment. If anyone can cross over to the Collie-people, Terry is losing her collies also. The cost is up to $2,000 to a vet in Fountain Valley and $1,000 to a vet near her. Here are the telephone #'s of the vets, if anyone can donate from their credit card they will take that. Anything will help her right now. The Vet that has most of her dogs is 800-944-Pets, and will take credit card donations and the other phone is 760-873-5801 for credit card information. If ANYONE can help her in anyway please do. Terry is disabled and on very limited finances. and if anyone has access to the Collie list, please send this over, as she's also losing Collies. I know there is a great rescue effort going on in a lot of places for Eskies. I am asking you to send a small donation or even large if you have it. This could be in memory of a beloved pet that you had. Maybe you remember Terry as she was at the UKC National in charge of the rescue parade and was due to put one on at the AKC National but she was ill then. Any donation would be greatfully appreciated. I want to remind those who will donate or have donated directly to the vet. HB cannot legally substantiate those as being tax deductible for you. If deductibility matters to you please send your donations to Heart Bandits directly (write "Terry" on the check). HB will in turn use them to pay the vet bills. I also want to make sure everyone knows that not all the sick dogs are Eskies. Most of them are Collies. HB nonprofit ruling from the IRS covers "prevention of cruelty to animals" so we can help these dogs too. Let me make it clear that no HB general fund $ will be used for these vet bills. Only donations earmarked for "Terry" will be used.
