This Raffle was held to help Terry Thistlethwaite out. She recently lost 8 of her dogs due to a mutated distempter virus brought into her home via a rescue eskie. Eleven of Terry's dogs got sick and 8 of the 11 journeyed to the Bridge. This raffle was held to raise money for the bills Terry incurred. Very sad and very tragic! $607 was raised in this raffle effort. $507 in raffle tickets were bought, and we had a "challenge" grant of $100 offered by an anonymous donator- which was matched in tickets, so the $100 is added to the amount! You get two "year 2000" calendars from Browntrout, featuring great images of the American Eskimo Dog, also known as Eskies (gee.....bet ya didn't know that, did ya???) These calendars are not only great for using, but as with all Browntrout calendars, the pictures could even be used in frames later! Definitely some wonderful images here....all reinforcing the title of "The Dog Beautiful" that the Eskie has acquired in its time! These two are not "paw-to-graphed" as some that Nancy has offered, but Shelby (who was never invited to the photo shoots) would probably be delighted to chew the corners for you if you like!!! (Just kidding)....but here's a great opportunity to get a great calendar at a great price! This is the same full size calendar that usually sells for $10-15 elsewhere, so don't miss out if you want these great calendars!
