8" Fundraiser- Raffle- July 2000
$595.00 This Raffle was held to help Terry Thistlethwaite out. She recently lost 8 of her dogs due to a mutated distempter virus brought into her home via a rescue eskie. Eleven of Terry's dogs got sick and 8 of the 11 journeyed to the Bridge. This raffle was held to raise money for the bills Terry incurred. Very sad and very tragic! There were 10 wonderful prizes offered in this raffle(info and images below). Carolyn Doll hosted! Thank you soooo much Carolyn. Here are the wonderful prizes as follows:
Prize #1: Beautiful Welcome Sign In YOUR Breed! Donated by Dotti Emadi, her Eskies Peppermint, Candy & Cane WINNER: Judith Ciani Smith We have added the following option to this item: Winner gets choice of up to 3 dogs on the sign. Can be 3 different breeds if desired! ANY BREEDS!! You can, of course, still get it with just one breed, but it's winner's choice on this now! This sign will be custom made to YOUR breed. This Welcome Sign is handcrafted in wood and is approx 8" x 12". "YOUR" stunning dog will be standing among evergreens on a cobble stone path next to a barrel of early blooming flowers. A wonderful addition to your entry way! The signs are really beautiful. They are based on about a 3/4" base. The 'sky' is carved out and the 'Welcome' stands in relief. Each of the trees and the dogs are made separately in wood (about 1/4" thick) and added to the sign after painting.These signs are really substantial and beautiful! It's the well known Dogs are Miracles with Paws Lithograph, a colorful collection of sayings about dogs. This cotton tapestry throw is made in the USA. Prize #3: "Dog and Staff" Pillow! Donated by Sandy London, Eskies Gizmo & Whitney WINNER: Kathy Parsons A "just for fun item"! A pillow that is approximately 4" x 8" done in needlepoint that says "The DOG and its housekeeping staff live here". Don't we all feel like that sometime! |
Prize #4: Puppy Bracelet Donated by Karen Sefranek and Eskie Indy WINNER: Carole Allen Have doggies on your wrist!! This is too cute and will surely win you compliments! We are offering a sterling silver bracelet. It contains at least 12.75 grams of silver and is 7" long with a lobster claw clasp. The 3 dimensional doggies prance around the length of the bracelet with their front legs extended and their tails wagging merrily and they are SMILING!! Whatever breed they are, these happy pups deserve a home. |

Prizes #5: "My house maintained for dogs" sign Donated by Sandy London, Eskies Gizmo & Whitney WINNER: Edite Abolins I just love this!! We ALL need one of these signs! This metal sign is white, the lettering is done in dark blue, measures 12" x 9" and has two holes for easy attaching. |
Prize #6: Dog House Picture Frame Donated by Carole Allen and 11 yr old Eskie Hobbes WINNER: Amanda Rigsby A genuine Sonoma Home Goods! A "just too cute" silver metal dog house picture frame. It says BOW WOW at the roof and 4 stain-glass bones in colors of purple, green blue and yellow are hanging from the silver metal rafters. Overall size is 5 1/2" tall and 5" wide. The pic area is for a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" picture. |

Prizes #7: Wooden Bone for your garden or yard Donated by Keeshond puppy Tucker (Pat Cassel's latest family addition), and in Memory of our Keesie Kody who journeyed to the Bridge on July 4th 1999. WINNER: Carol Stephens A cute wooden bone done in white and a medium mauvy pink. Length is 21" and the bone is 8" across. It says "One Spoiled Rotten Dog Lives Here" and has hearts and pawprints on the bone. A pawprint and bone are on the post. The bone is edged by the mauvy pink and does not show up in the pic. |
