Giving Life a Second Chance This auction was held "in honor" of an Eskie named Angel. She was rescued from a shelter and though her eyesight was not good, it was hoped that maybe surgery could help her regain some of her sight. After further examination, she was determined to be 100% blind, so surgery would not help her. However....she is a wonderful eskie, and an absolute angel anyway, so this auction is "in honor" of her. Another fluffy white angel, an eskie named Caeser, in need of back surgery, and so this auction was FOR his medical bills. And yet ANOTHER darling angel-eskie, Quinn, was helped by this auction. Please read their stories to learn more about them and their circumstances. Angel, Caeser, and Quinn each have their own story pages, so don't miss out on either! We are continuing to support those who help others as well as honoring the spirit of those who have done so for these wonderful eskies! Together...we can all help out in... Auction Details- November/December 2000

This Season of Angels fundraiser is held in HONOR of eskie "ANGEL", as well as FOR Another Fuzzy White Angel....an eskie namedCAESER!

This will be our last planned fundraiserfor the year 2000. We have raised over $21,000since July 1999. A big thank you to the donators,the bidders, the raffle hosts and everyonethat purchased raffle tickets. A BIG thankyou to Michael(UnkleMunky) for hosting ourfundraisers and doing all the site work,etc.! I could not do this without him! Thankyou also to Jill Boardman, our dutiful treasurer.Without her, I would not be able to holdas many fundraisers. Remember why we do this,WE DO IT FOR THE DOGS!! For the dogs……needing a second chanceat life!

This auction was originally intended forAngel, the blind 4 yr old Eskie. Karen Steinmetzfrom the Luzerne County shelter was determinedto save Angel from death! I met Karen andAngel was turned over to rescue. Angel stayedwith us overnight, before RRing on to LaurieBame in VA. Angel is simply amazing consideringher blindness. She is so sweet, loves childrenand adapts easily. Her eyes were re-evaluatedby an eye specialist at VA Tech. We werehoping surgery was a possibility in gettingsome sight back, but….it is not to be! Sheis 100% blind. So this auction is IN HONOROF ANGEL!!!, but is for another fuzzy whiteAngel named Caesar.

Caesar is lucky to be alive. He needs approx$800 for his back surgery. Be sure to read his story. Thanks to Wayne and Nancy Mayes of TenderHearts. Christmas is all about LOVE, let'smake this a GREAT Christmas for Caesar.

Some breed items this month include Poodle,Chinese Crested, Cocker Spaniel, Sheltie,Dachshund, Keeshond and of course the AmericanEskimo. Breed items are not necessarily listedtogether so you have to search for them.

This auction closes at 10 PM eastern timeon Wednesday, December 6th, 2000. All bidsmust be SENT by 10 PM Eastern Time. I canreceive them after 10 PM (EST), but theymust be sent by 10 PM (EST). Winners willbe announced the following evening. Yourwins will be shipped after Jill (auctiontreasurer) receives your payment. Winnersdo NOT pay any shipping…shipping is alsodonated by the donators. 100% of the moneywill go to the dire need Eskies. Auctionrules can be viewed on the rules page! Winners will be notified by e-mail. Allauction payments are due within 30 days afterI NOTIFY YOU as a winner. Payment may bemade by check or money order in US fundsonly. Reminders will be sent out if needed.If there is a problem with payment, we willwork with you. Just let me know.

PLEASE NOTE: I have NOT been enforcing the30 day rule. I WILL BE ENFORCING THIS RULEIN THIS AUCTION (we try to work with youif you are in extreme circumstances, suchas if you are retired and get paid once amonth, emergency, etc., but we NEED to keeprules consistent)! We still have NON-PAYERSin many of the past/recent auctions, andsome people paying 2-3 MONTHS later!! Ifyou do not plan to follow through with thetransaction, please do NOT bid! Caesar needs the money ASAP. We cannot wait for months to help him!If you make a pledge to the dog, please followthrough.

This Season of Angels fundraiser is right in line with our themeof giving life a second chance. We need as much help as we can get in thiseffort. Being this auction is on the heelsof Thanksgiving, and on the way to Christmas,it's an ideal time to reflect on our lives,and the many things that make our lives sowonderful(even if every moment isn't perfector stress free, we do all have much to begrateful for). The focus we have with thisfundraiser is on all the fuzzy white angelswe better know as eskies. Not only is thisauction being held for, and in honor of,a couple of those fuzzy white angels, manyof us have one or more of these right inour own homes! Even if you don't have aneskie, or if you have other dogs, they'reangels as well....just maybe not so fluffywhite as the eskies. So, this Season of Angels isn't just on your computer screen, it'sright at your side...in the faithful companionsand servants that we have in our dogs. Theseason is all around us, from within us tobetween us, so let us share the spirit ofthe season.

Christmas is all about Love, so let's sharethe love and help out in..…giving life a second chance!

P.S.-We are not "planning" another auctionuntil February 2001(just a couple short monthsaway). We intend to continue in the new year,but having gone nearly non-stop with thesefundraisers since July '99, we decided asmall break was in order for all of us! We'vedone a lot of good together so far.....ALLOF US! We plan to continue to improve thefundraising efforts, and to continue helpingeskies(and others when it comes up), so we'llbe tending to work on the future effortseven during this time, just at a little morerelaxed pace for a few weeks! Everybody stayhappy, healthy, and give your own littleangels a great big hug every day...they enjoyyour companionship and love as much as youdo theirs! See ya real soon!!
