Season of Angels- November/December 2000 (Caeser's, Angel's and Quinn's stories are on their own pages....use the picture links at the bottom of each story to navigate between their information pages!)Quinn's Story is being told by his new FOREVER Mom and family. He is a 9 yr old Eskie that wanted to be loved, be PART of a family and to be free of head pain. Our fundraiser is paying for his much needed surgery $246. He pulled through with no complications and is VERY happy now! Quinn's Story: ![]() We adopted Quinn on September 17, 2000, being told that he was not good around children or other dogs. The previous owner stated that he had been crated, or put in the basement because he was not to be trusted around her two children.
According to the medical records provided by Quinn's previous owners, he was treated in Texas for an abcess (and had it lanced, drained and sutured) and the vet recommended that the tooth be removed over a year ago. The previous owner moved from Texas to Massachusetts sometime thereafter and never had Quinn's tooth removed. Heart Bandits was contacted around July 2000 regarding surrender of this dog, who was NOT good with children, and AGGRESSIVE around other dogs. They told Denise that they were going to have to put Quinn to sleep if she could not find an immediate home for him. |
![]() | We adopted Quinn and soon discovered what a doll he is -- the grumpiness that he showed with his previous owners was clearly due to the pain and discomfort he was enduring as a result of this infected tooth. Quinn had surgery on October 26, and there were no complications, despite the vet's worry that the abcess may have invaded his brain, and the tooth root may have wrapped itself around Quinn's jaw. We sat vigil overnight hoping that we would not lose Quinn during this risky surgery. We were relieved that he came through it with flying colors! |
Our baby was very quiet afterwards -- theyhad to remove some infected tissue on hisface, and he had 3 stitches. A week later,Quinn is almost healed and doing great. Pleasevisit Quinn's page (Mass. HB chapter) atwww.hbeskies.com. Better yet, adopt an eskie of your veryown!
