Welcome to the Monthly Eskie Contest!

Each month we assemble a different "eskie" contest. Though the contest may seem that it's held mostly for the "fun" of it, it's really more than that. In fact, we've come down to a basic purpose of the contest, which is present in every aspect of it. That is simply that we run the contest "to continually remind us of why we so love our American Eskimos!" Thus, it is in appreciation of our beloved "eskies" that we hold this contest. In that, we try to do some good with the donations, as well as offer up some fun with the prizes and queries. You can access the various areas of the contest via the links at the left or bottom of the page. However, as a brief overview, here is a little about the contest:

There are three parts to every contest:

1) The question or "query". This is usually something we ask. MOST of the time we do not seek a short and simple answer as we prefer to have more "essay" oriented responses as they are more exciting and interesting. However, we've varied the content of the contests a fair amount and will probably continue to do so. To get an idea of what we've asked for in the past, check out some of our past contests. The exception to a question/answer type contest has been our "Online Eskie Show", also known as AEDOSS, which you can learn about via the appropriate link.

2) Second is the "prize". This is what we offer to our monthly "winner". This has ranged in variety as well, and you can see what we've offered via the past contest links.

3) Third, and vitally important, is the monthly "donation". Though we started out offering the donation to worthy canine causes(many eskie related) in the name of the contest winner, it has been difficuilt to assure that the donation is made in the winner's name. Thus, we've decided not to emphasize that the donation will be made in either the winner's name or ours. We DO, however, make sure that the donation is made to the cause we designate. Afterall, it doesn't so much matter "who" makes the donation, but rather that a donation is made. So, all in all, we offer not only a prize to the winner, but ALSO a donation made to a worthy canine cause each month! Details of past donations are on the individual pages for the past contests!

We are always seeking to improve the contest, prizes, and donations, but we are also limited in resources, so we work with what we can and keep the contest alive! Any and all help is appreciated in respect to ideas, prizes, and donations, as it usually only makes the contest all the better!
