Of course, this page is all about Shelby! As you can probably tell, Shelby is an American Eskimo Dog. Shelby was born July 5th, 1997. She is from Pinebrook Kennels near Cambridge Minnesota. She is out of Nikolai and WindStar from a litter of 4 pups. I acquired Shelby in Sept. of '97, and she's certainly given my life a bit of a spin ever since then!
Below are the first two pictures I took of her in early Oct. 97, when she was about 3 months old. The top one is the first picture, and then the lower one is the second picture I took of her.....I love these pictures yet...it's like she finally opened her eyes with the second picture as if to say "ohhhh, you mean this works better if I OPEN my eyes!?!?!" What a card!
Eskies are just so darn photogenic, and I'm sure I'll get a lot more great pictures in the years to come(I already have a number!)! Though I bought her as a "show puppy", and have shown her some, and will do so as I can, her main "purpose" is merely to be a pet, or companion, to Jamie and me! And, oh, is she ever a great companion! Her "full name" is "Shekinah Shelby of Pinebrook", though she usually just goes by "Shelby" or one of her other "nicknames", which run the gamut of "Little Miss Must be a Full Moon", "Little Miss Busy-Ness", "Little Miss Silliness", "Shelbidere" and many others.

Shelby is one who just loves to live! And, as many pet owners can attest, this rubs off on their owners! Though she seems to make a lot of things "playthings", one of her favorites is, of course, ZooBalls! In fact, if you go to the ZooBalls Page, you'll see that Shelby is the unofficial ZooBalls PosterDog! She just LOVES her ZooBalls! She also loves to go places, be a part of the conversation, loves looking out windows, getting into things, and just plain having a lot of fun! Shelby also gets along fairly well with her older "sister", Jamie. Jamie is a poodle, and doesn't always understand Shelby's way of playing, but the two of them get along quite well, and I can tell in many ways that they really appreciate having each other around!
This page is mostly just to show off Shelby a bit and mention a little more about her. Of course, you can learn more about Eskies as well as dogs on this site, so take a look around!
