Canine Court's Dog Health Information and Links

The health and well being of our dogs is something that should not be taken lightly. To many of us, our dogs are really close members of the family, and their good health and care is in our best interest. Not only is taking the time and effort to choose a healthy dog(or puppy) in the first place a good idea, but even more important is taking care of them through the many years they will be with us! If we neglect in these respects, it is quite possible that they may not live as long nor be as healthy as they could! And, just "wanting" to take good care of our dogs is one thing....actually doing so is a continual learning experience for many of us.

Many years ago, it seemed that dogs were just "around the farm" type animals, but with many of us having dogs primarily as companion animals, with medical and veterinary advances, scientific findings, etc., we are in a position, at the end of the 20th century, to provide better care for our dogs than ever before. As most of us know, really raising a healthy, well-cared for dog is not an inexpensive effort. Nor is it without its share of heartache and pain at times, but the bottom line is common for all of us...we do it for those we care about...including our dogs. Afterall, 15+ years of healthy, disease free, well-cared for years, is a lot better than 5 hard, disease ridden, neglectful years for any of us, including our dogs!

It is our own beliefs that there are many ways in which to better our care for our faithful companions that we have added these "health" and information links. A healthy diet is one good step in that direction, but there is more, including regular checkups, vaccinations, and any other possible care. Thus, we'll seek to keep adding health related links and information to this section in time to come, but we have a few links below that you might like to check out. In all, our search for continued better canine care is one that should never end!
