If I knew what I was doing, would I be doing it?

Sometimes I even wonder! Life has always been an experience to me. It seems like every time I turn around I'm embracing a new project...of course something I've never done before. Sometimes it's minor, sometimes it's major, but it almost always seems to be a learning experience. Some things I take to well, others seem to be a living nightmare. Maybe it's just my perspective on life too. Afterall, I try to look at most everything as new and challenging, even if I've done it(or something similar) before. I try to do a better job than last time, or do something different this time around...always striving for improvement. Thus, most of the tasks I take on in life are "new" to me in some sense or another. In a way, no, I don't really always know what I'm doing. BUT...if I HAD done things the same way over and over...my life would be pretty bland and boring for darn sure. I can't make that complaint. Sometimes I've found myself involved in a project that becomes ten times the work I anticipated(this happens often), and so, yes, "if I knew what I was doing", NO, I probably wouldn't have gotten into it. What's fascinating though, is that I am usually glad I had the experience of whatever project I've taken on, once it's done. Yes...life is a continual learning experience for me. As I get older, I sure hope I'll be just as curious and courageous(and maybe even as stupid), for taking on new and different tasks sure keeps a sharp edge on the blade of life!
