A box is better than a bucket, especially if you're gonna kick it!
This saying was one I came up with some years ago when I was in the process of moving. Of course, during this process, I had boxes all over the place as I was packing things up. Inevitably, I would happen to "kick" a box now and then as I was "navigating" my way around the labyrinth of the situation. I realized with one of those kicks that I was sure glad it was a box I was kicking and not something else...ESPECIALLY a bucket! Afterall, the saying of "kicking the bucket" means the death of someone, and kicking a box is far less tragic afterall! So...if you ever find yourself in such a situation...you might be able to recall this thought. And...whether a box or a coffee table in the middle of the night, stubbing your toe on such an item is far less tragic than at least one alternative, so even in these little "pains" of life, we can be thankful.
