Eskie Pages- History Page

Though our history may not be the most earth shaking, it might help to understand a little of where we've come from to become ESKIE PAGES!

We started with some small printing/publishing projects in 1992 in Duluth, MN under the name of Wolven Publishing. Though little came of these first efforts, in 1993 we got involved in game making. MIND ICE™ and Mini-Yacht, along with some other non-published game projects, were some of our finished projects over the next few years. We also got back into some writing projects, but those have been on the shelf for various reasons the past couple of years.

In 1996, we relocated to Wisconsin and a name change was in order. Due to some recent awful events, and realizing how life is about surviving, we took on a new, and possibly odd, name. Calamity Crossings was chosen, partially as a play off Jamie's name(Calamity Jane), but also it had a lot to do with surviving life's "calamity crossings" and making the most of life no matter what circumstances one is under. Thus, our new name was about surviving. Though mostly only printing work was done under the CC name, we kept it alive until early 1999.

After getting involved in Eskies(American Eskimo Dogs) in 1997, we found a new fascination in the canine world. In early 1999, we were able to obtain the domain name(on the internet) of eskie.net, which we thought to be a great opporunity. After serious consideration, we decided a name change was again in order(hopefully for the last time!). To bring our printing/publishing interests together with our Eskie interests, what better name than "Eskie Pages"! And, with this new site now open, we hope to be opening new chapters in the future to exciting projects and we hope our history will be all the more exciting 10 years from now! Hope you all can be a part of it!
