The J-Pages

Welcome to our "Jeep" section. Though we concentrate on Jeeps, there are some other interesting pages and information here as well, so use the buttons at the left to navigate!

Mind you, you're not going to find much on the CJ/TJ/YJ or other "too little" Jeeps here. Mostly, this is FSJ(Full Size Jeep) country, so you've been warned! FSJs were Jeeps made by Kaiser/AMC/Chrysler from 1963 to 1991, though they were mostly a 60s/70s/early 80s thing. Once Chrysler got Jeep, they killed the full size pickups and later parted with the last full size wagon as well. None of these fascinating vehicles are made anymore, but for those of us who have had one(or more) can certainly find some things to like about them.

Full Size Jeeps included the J-Series Pickups(63-87, where this section gets its name!), the Full Size Cherokee(74-83), and Full Size Wagoneer(63-91). The Full size Cherokee and Wagoneer were similar, but the Grand Wagoneer was continued long after the Cherokee had met its downsized fate.

The 84-present downsized Cherokees/Wagoneers are often referred to as XJ models. Though AMC made many improvements in their Jeeps then, they also cut quite a few corners(as most makers were doing then), so they still lacked in other respects. Bodies and handling were generally better, but the engine/driveline combination was sure a let down for those used to the Full Size Jeep power of the past! There are a couple pages on these XJ Jeeps here as well.

Our "non-Jeep" pages include some other vehicles we've owned and known, as well as some other interesting sections. Note the 4x4 Van section......not your run of the mill vehicles, but absolutely fascinating, and beats the cargo capacity of your average SUV all to smithereens! You can also find some links to International trucks of the past......these were most definitely your "ugly trucks", but hey......that plain jane styling is great(not to mention practical)!!! The "Links" page includes Jeep AND non-Jeep links, so do check that out too!

Well...do enjoy looking around.....and feel free to let us know what you think of these pages!
