Copyright Information on Nellie Littlehale's Works.

Most of the Nellie's works are from various sources. Most of the ones we have here, including the "Wonder World" samples of her early works are taken from a couple sets of the series, dating from 1918 to 1920s. Some of the other works have been picked up here and there; some are from photos, while others are scans. All in all, we have assembled what we can here. Since most of the works displayed are from the early part of the 20th century AND that Nellie passed away in 1941, we are "assuming" that most, if not all, of her works have passed into the public domain, due to the length of time that has passed since the original works were published and/or since Nellie's passing. Most, if not all, early 20th century copyrights lived under the laws of the time and we are assuming the "75 years" guideline for most of the published works being in the public domain. The works in the "Wonder World" series of books, though noted as Nellie's work, were also clearly noted as being "Copyright Geo. L. Shuman & Co." Since the original set of books was published in 1914, and by the 40s only the "fairyland" material remained in the sets, AND that we are not fully aware of who may or may not have the rights(if any) to the pieces today, we are posting them under "assumed" public domain. HOWEVER....we make no claim that this is true. It has been difficult at best to find nearly ANY information on Nellie and/or her works. We have assembled these pages in honor of Nellie Littlehale and are merely presenting them for others to enjoy. We, Eskie Pages, own NO copyright in the works of Nellie Littlehale and make no claim as such.

IF any particular IS under copyright and/or legal ownership of someone OTHER than us, Eskie Pages, PLEASE notify us immediately(preferably via email at the links below). We are NOT trying to avoid or ignore ANY copyright laws, in the US or any other country worldwide. We are making these pages available, mostly to inform people of what wonderful work Nellie Littlehale did in her life. We are NOT making one dime off these pages...they are merely posted for educational and informative purposes! We want to provide as much information as possible on Nellie and her works, and if ANYONE knows of legal rights pertaining to ANY of her works, particularly those we have posted, PLEASE notify us immediately. If necessary we would remove any works that ARE under copyright by someone and they wish them to NOT be displayed. HOWEVER...we would prefer to keep these pages AND hopefully expand them with greater detail in time.
