Sacagawea, a young indian woman enlisted by the Lewis and Clark expedition, was featured on a US postage stamp in the mid-1990s. She may have been the saving grace for the L&C expedition to the West coast in the early 1800s, and her story is one well worth learning about. We'll try to add more information on Sacagawea in the future, but certainly wanted to bring attention to her here! She is certainly what many would consider a hero of old west! |
